Terms of Service

Recall My Movie is an independently operated movie-memory search service operated in the United States by liumo.

Questions about these Terms may be sent through the contact form.

What the service does

Recall My Movie helps users compare remembered scenes, plot details, characters, quotes, or endings with possible movie records. It may organize clues, ask follow-up questions, and return a short list of canonically verified movie records.

No guaranteed answer

DeepSeek-generated search intent may be incomplete or inaccurate. A verified title is a real TMDB database record, but it may not be the movie you remember. The service may return no match, incomplete results, or an incorrect match. You should independently verify any result before relying on it.

Acceptable use

You may not use the service to submit unlawful material, sensitive personal information, malicious instructions, automated bulk requests, attempts to bypass rate limits or security controls, or content that infringes another person's rights. Help requests and replies must not include doxxing, harassment, impersonation, spam, or unrelated promotion. You may not probe, disrupt, reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the service except where applicable law expressly permits it.

Privacy

Use of the service is also governed by the Privacy Policy. Search descriptions are private by default and must not be treated as published content. Publishing an anonymous help request is a separate, explicit choice and requires Google sign-in so the request can be managed later. Replies also require sign-in and publicly display the commenter's Google display name and available profile photo, but not their email address.

Movie data and intellectual property

Movie titles, trademarks, and other third-party materials belong to their respective owners. Recall My Movie does not claim ownership of third-party movie records and does not imply affiliation with movie studios, streaming services, or databases. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.

Feedback

If you confirm or reject a candidate, the service may use that feedback to measure and improve search quality. Feedback remains associated with the private search unless you separately authorize a reviewed, anonymized solved case.

Availability and changes

The service may be changed, suspended, rate-limited, or discontinued. Features may fail or be temporarily unavailable. The operator does not promise uninterrupted availability or permanent storage of search sessions.

No paid service

The current service does not offer paid searches, subscriptions, or purchases. Any future paid feature will require separate pricing, renewal, cancellation, refund, tax, and consumer-rights terms before it is offered.

Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of or inability to use the service. Any liability that cannot be excluded is limited to the minimum amount permitted by applicable law.

Applicable law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws of the United States. No state-specific governing-law or exclusive-venue choice is made in this version. Any dispute must be brought before a court or tribunal that has lawful jurisdiction over the operator and the dispute.

Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated as the service changes. Continued use after updated Terms are published means the updated Terms apply to future use, subject to applicable law.
